Advantages:

Disadvantages:

• Significant noise generation: Metal brake pads tend to produce noticeable noise during braking.

• Increased dust production: Their use generates considerable metal dust.

• Higher wear on brake discs: The high hardness of metal pads accelerates disc wear.

II. Ceramic Brake Pads

Ceramic brake pads comprise ceramic fibres, non-metallic fillers, binders, and trace metals. These pads excel in braking performance, noise suppression, and wear reduction.

Advantages:

• Consistent braking performance: Ceramic pads deliver stable braking effects across varying temperatures and operating conditions.

• Low operational noise: Ceramic pads generate significantly less noise than metal pads during operation.

• Minimal dust and cleanliness: Produce fine white dust particles with reduced environmental and brake system impact.
